Review by Austin Frape

Are you ready to return to Neverland with J.M Barrie's classic story about Peter Pan, Wendy, Nana, Tinker Bell, Pirates, Mermaids and a ticking crocodile? Think your happy thoughts and get ready to take the second star to the right and head straight on till morning to ‘A Neverland Adventure’.

A Peter Pan circus performance? Sign. Us. Up. Despite the warning from the pirates at the beginning of the show, Neverland Adventure breaks the barrier of just being a "kids show,"  bringing a wonderous and impressive spectacle. The team utilised the small Wonderland tent quite well, performing a 280-degree show. The dazzling performances included a trapeze, unicycle, awful pirate rap, pole dancing, juggling, flipping over a child, flaming swords, and jumping on a see-saw plank.

The story itself is a very condensed version of Peter Pan, using story elements as a framework for the individual acts. The performers are all excellently trained and entertaining, encouraging audience participation. While some of the silliness was a bit overdone, presumably for the kids, there's a clear love for their work. Plus, Peter Pan said I had a tremendous beard, so life is complete! It's also just straight facts. Plus, the show is worth attending to see a giant Nana dog. That thing was amazing.

All in all, Neverland Adventure brings the awe, fun, and wonder of experiencing the world of Peter Pan. If you have kids or refuse to grow up, I'd say the show is worth a look!
